A School For Success!
"If there was such a thing as a 'school for success' MindMillion provides it, with a host of relevant examples, tools and techniques."
This book interested me a great deal. I'll be the first to admit I have a problem with money, what it does, quite who and what it 'supports'. I've tried goal setting and affirmations, from Jo Karbo's famous 'Lazy Man's Way to Riches' to computer wallpaper with pictures of notes on that I found so ugly I had to take it down, all sorts of stuff.
I have even run courses on personal wealth, which is a slightly different issue to 'riches'. As the adage goes 'You cannot serve God and Mammon' - and my activities have always, until recently, fallen between the two. My observations on 'rich' people have led me to believe that money does not bring happiness by itself. Many pound rich people seem to be miserable tightwads bound up in a world of materialism without any redeeming tendencies. I believe that to 'make money' you have to to put attention onto money, and frankly there are just too many beautiful things around to appreciate (without having to own) for me to have ever gone there. But MindMillion is changing my entrenched attitudes.
So I do consider myself to be wealthy, but not rich. I live in an ace place (Cornwall) where I get all the beauty I need. I have simple needs and a healthy lifestyle in pursuit of truth and beauty. I am more content and happier than pretty much everyone I know. I am rich in time and spend most of it doing things that I enjoy that are 'self generated'. But, Boy I would like to hit proper paydirt sometime soon.
So it was with great interest that I entered Silvia Hartmann's world of 'MindMillion' with a mission - How do I turn my activities, which I believe relevant to people at this time, into something that will bring the financial reward I know I deserve ?
I have recently become a member of the StarFields network (see http://simon-mitchell.com) and find Silvia's work to be inspirational on many levels, so I knew I was onto something good from the start. Project Sanctuary, another of Silvia's brilliant inventions (see http://projectsanctuary.com ) is a revelation to me and is just one amazing tool that this deeply intelligent and hard-working lady has bought into hard reality. So, wealthy as I am, primarily a state of perception, I want to be rich, which is something I can see I am not simply by opening my empty, post-Christmas wallet! Enough about me!
So, 'poors', 'muppets' and 'riches'. I recognise the 'types' in the first chapter and certainly relate more to the latter. I do my stuff and don't care too much what the muppets think any more. I want to change my stars to make getting money as easy as it seems for some other people, but continue to do what I love.
Many people I know spend their lives 'digging the foundations' for wealth but never get there. My policy is to build castles in the air (thats where they should be) and then build foundations underneath, but as I mentioned, my dreams have rarely touched the ground. My 'visions' are rarely endorsed because I have shown them to muppets who don't, and can't, have a clue what they are. So many pearls before swine, what a waste! My serial failures plague me with self doubt and yes - FEAR, not just FEAR of failure, but also FEAR of success. So much of this is 'programmed' in by our life experiences, so deconditioning and destressing is an essential first move recommended in MindMillion - with tools supplied!
The next steps in MindMillion help the 'reader' accept the mantle of success without self-sabotage, by examining and altering inner conflicts. The book shows some of the many assumptions we make about being rich or poor, again with practical tools to make these conscious and deal with them, with a unique exercise in self-empowerment. In fact I gotta do that one right now !
And onwards to overcome that almighty FEAR and increase flexibility of response by simply allowing ourselves to be WRONG. In essence how can we ever fail if we can truly learn from our experiences and move on? Again Silvia provides revealing examples and exercises to personalise this learning and root it in the 'reader's' own domain.
The blueprint for personal success that MindMillion reveals is rooted in the author's personal experience and study, but the practical exercises allow anyone motivated towards self-growth to find it for themselves, within the context of their own life.
Silvia provides stepping stones to your own goals, in a practical and manageable format. The book helps you to integrate forward movement into even the most complex of lives. Silvia's evident study of success reveals many blocks we may unconsciously place in our own paths and provides practical and meaningful exercises to remove them.
If there was such a thing as a 'school for success' MindMillion provides it, with a host of relevant examples, tools and techniques.
I have to stop writing this review now and get on with some more of the exercises. I want to smell like my own champion, find love and loyalty, be my own hero. I am convinced MindMillion is here to show me the way. This radical sense is lighting me up. I feel I have found a friend who really knows me and wants everything I want for myself.
Looks to me like Silvia Hartmann has done it again!
