Energy Magic is the final book in the EmoTrance trilogy. A large part of the book is a transcription of a workshop and it flows really well, making you feel like you can almost hear her. In this book Dr. Hartmann focuses on creating our future, the kind of future we really want, the kinds of events we would like to experience, the kinds of changes we would like to see in our lives.
The book first explains how to use art in a different way - namely, instead of just using art to express our emotions, we can use art to find the solution to the turmoil we are feeling! She aptly calls this Art Solutions. She then proceeds to discuss the Highest Taste principle - that we can only truly change one set of behavior for another if it feels even better. If you love ice cream, then eating salad won't work in the long run because eventually you'll break down and go back to the ice cream. You have to find something that tastes or feels even better to you than ice cream - something that your body finds even more exquisite. This was definitely something I could relate to! We are engineered to experience pleasure and the trick is to find something right here and now that gives us pleasure. And if you know how to do EmoTrance, you can soften and flow your food as you put it in your mouth and create an extraordinary sensation through your whole body.
The book covers things such as a new spin on fears, rituals, and repairing the underlying structural problems behind any issue. Dr. Hartmann also introduces an amazingly wonderful and gentle technique for transforming your self-image. There is a long chapter called Project Energy, which is about custom-making a project that you will then bring into the world. You simply won't believe how wonderful this feels until you try it.
