Hi everyone, I wanted to share that recently I purchased the Events Psychology ebook (by Silvia Hartmann) and today I read the first 40 pages. I am blown away by the simplicity, logic and insightfulness of the paradigm Silvia proposes here for understanding the huge influence the 4 different kinds of events she describes can have on people, and how they shape our lives, our attitudes, beliefs and behaviors.

I am a Psychology student (soon to be graduating) and I find talking to regular people ("lay people") about the theories I learn in college extremely disheartening because of the complexity of these theories (and how freaking complicated they are). However, Events Psychology seems to me like something I can easily talk about and explain to people, and honestly, it makes much more sense to me and seems way more accurate than many of the theories and paradigms I learn at the university.
Well done Silvia!

Events Psychology, in its initial stages, is easy to conduct and can be used by anyone to understand their own motivations and those of others.

Silvia Hartmann is a researcher and innovative therapist who has extensive interest in modern psychology. She is at the forefront of the development of brand new therapeutic methods. Every major event, both good and bad, results in inner self talk when patterned beliefs are formed. Events Psychology is a simple, person centred technique to uncover past trauma that can be used by therapists, counsellors and healers. In this training manual, Silvia Hartmann details her Events Psychology method. It provides a series of questions, to home in on past events to gently approach painful memories so that relaxation can be achieved. These key events are then used as stepping stones, to turn negative into positive, and bring resolution. The introduction of new healing events to counter-balance the negative can then be introduced.

Prepare to be amazed by what you will discover about yourself, and how much of you there is to love, with Events Psychology.

What if you could go back into your childhood, and transform the hurtful, painful times? What if you could go back and give yourself a loving fairy godmother, totally kindhearted and devoted to you, (in my case, that's who I decided, or, rather, who showed up in my mind to give me a hand).

What if, by observing memories as events, and/or deciding to work with your events, you developed such a love and appreciation of yourself and your own unique journey, and the world around you, it completely stopped you in your tracks?

Prepare to be amazed by what you will discover about yourself, and how much of you there is to love, with Events Psychology.

[Events Psychology] is like a full-blown healing that moves you into a new life if you are willing to really work with it. I love it!

This book is not a traditional psychology book. It describes the events in our lives within the frame work of the human energy system. Rather than engaging the long story that surrounds threshold events in our lives, the author narrows the actual event down to the moment when something shifts inside us. The moment when we say, "life will never be the same", "I'll never love anybody else", "life is out to get me" etc. According to the book, when we had that feeling in our body and those beliefs were formed something happened in our energy system. The energy got stuck somehow and was not able to run freely. This is a hands-on kind of book that shows you step by step how you can resolve any event and make dramatic changes in your own life.

If you experienced a traumatic event incl. really big ones such as rape, a car accident, received a scary diagnosis - or an enchanted event that was so wonderful... Read Full Review

Altogether, a very informative, creative and elegant explanation of ourselves and other people. An excellent book for everyone and a gift for therapists.

I did enjoy reading Silvia Hartmann`s latest book “Events Psychology” – How to Understand Yourself and Other People.

We are a sum total of our life experiences, positive and negative which we own. Whatever we perceive to be real is our reality! Events in our life give us our life experiences which are our life. They give meaning and structure to our lives and how we handle an event interpersonally is what it is all about.

Silvia shows us how to break up life experiences and focus on the felt response of an event and then understanding the thoughts that come after the event (cause and effect) thus allowing us to make the necessary and appropriate changes in our lives.
This book helps us understand how change works, how you do change and what change is all about in the first place.

The decision to think and function in a positive way is the first step in... Read Full Review

Events Psychology is the starting point and foundation of a new era in working with personal development, health and evolution for years to come.

Silvia Hartmann has done it again. Events Psychology is a must for anyone interested in developing their mindset and skills within the field of human development. The book ought to get repercussions even outside the field of Energy Psychology.

There are a lot of models for working with “problems” within the field of psychology, medicine and Energy Psychology already. But the clarity in explaining why we tend to have the thoughts, actions and behaviour we have, was still missing. That is until Silvia Hartmann put her vast experience of decades of working with people from all walks of life together in a cohesive and structurally easily understood model and presented it as Events Psychology.

Not only is it a theoretical model but also an utterly practical one. Silvia gets into detail with how to change events and even add missing events when of importance for a persons individual evolution.Read Full Review

A wonderful new way of not only understanding why we are who we are, but also enables us to regain control of the process which shapes our personalities and use this to our advantage.

Events psychology provides a wonderful new way of not only understanding why we are who we are, but also enables us to regain control of the process which shapes our personalities and use this to our advantage. This can result in massive leaps forward in our personal and spiritual development, restoring a perfect sense of logic and clarity to all of our systems, levels and layers of being.
I was amazed by the simplicity of events psychology. Through working with past events I have been startled by the amount of control that these events, along with their meta-comments, can and have held over my life. Fortunately changing these event memories is a simple process, especially if you are well versed in emotrance, art solutions or project sanctuary. Once these event memories have been changed quite literally a whole new world is opened up for you.

The creation of new events has become the... Read Full Review

In Events Psychology, Silvia Hartmann provides us with a clear, simple and new framework for understanding people and their behaviours which is completely logical.

From this new perspective how to approach evolutionary change work in ourselves and others is made easy and is now well tested and proven by practitioners in the field.

In addition to offering great clarity, perspective and understanding this book is also a great training manual, showing what kind of questions are important to elicit and begin to create change in our key life defining memories with practical illustrations of real client cases.

Silvia Hartmann continues to shine a light along the path to a truly real humanity

This is the most reflective, natural, sensible and logical account of our human make-up and it fills me with joy as I read it and I find myself saying, “Yes! Yes! Yes!”. It is a theoretical bed-rock for all the ways and techniques we have learned and used successfully since the heady days when we first used EMO Energy-in-Motion. At the same time it does not burden us or make us feel inadequate if we are just using the techniques in themselves.

Meanwhile it fills me with excitement as I see a whole new paradigm emerging which is a model not just for psychology/psychotherapy/counselling, but for theology as well. It takes us from simply grieving over what we think we have lost and can never recover to realizing that we can change the events of our lives by a process which Silvia outlines very clearly. Much of our pain is caused by not knowing our human structure.

We have been dabbing... Read Full Review

Events Psychology unlocks the future for us all and that is its greatest gift

“I’d like you to write the foreword to Events Psychology,” said Silvia Hartmann one morning. “In fact, I believe you are the only person really qualified to do so."

Well, put like that it was impossible to refuse the invitation. It is a fact that we have worked closely together over the past 14 years, without a break, without a fail.

Our individual and joint research projects, daily evaluations, tests, trials, explorations and amazing journeys have indeed led us right here - to the publication of Events Psychology.

Silvia Hartmann's genius lies in zeroing in on the underlying structures of actual, observable reality and identifying the patterns others not only overlook and/or dismiss, but most often, do not even see at all. From there, she develops new models, theories and approaches, always stringently scientific in her method, tireless in her quest for the truth.

This book stands on its own as a work to bring guidance to our evolution as human persons.

Silvia Hartmann has done it again. Just as several of her past works have expanded my thinking and practice, her new book: Events Psychology: How to Understand Yourself and Other People, has done the same. She has designed a system that challenges concepts in the field of psychology and pragmatically puts forth theory and practice in a concise and comprehensive manner.

Events Psychology, what a concept; I could not put this book down. So much of what was shared made sense to me and applicable to daily practice.

The book presents the view that our energy systems are held together by the events of our lives and that these events form a matrix. This events matrix, according to Dr. Hartmann, directly causes our thoughts, actions, and behaviors.

Dr. Hartmann discusses the “intrapersonal” nature of events which is open to acquiring new events. This openness to change in the events... Read Full Review

Direct, clear cut and often astonishing!

It is impossible to read this book and not to immediately recognise the validity and the relevancy of the concepts presented here. Direct, clear cut and often astonishing, Events Psychology is nothing short of a revolution in how to understand what makes people tick. Highly recommended.
