There is something about [Project Sanctuary] that makes me feel like a squealing 5-year old who just got the best toy ever for Christmas.

This book will teach you how to create a conscious connection with your subconscious mind, or energy mind, as the author calls it. Reading this book and doing the exercises, which Silvia Hartmann calls "playing a game", touched me in a way nothing else ever has. There is something about this that makes me feel like a squealing 5-year old who just got the best toy ever for Christmas.

The book gives you step by step directions for how to create a Sanctuary in your own mind - a place you can go to solve problems, try out scenarios before you do something in real life, play out a dream to understand it better as well as just have plain old fun and ride on dragons in mystical landscapes. You can have imaginary conversations with a dead parent, or your current partner - anything you like. This is all about creating an inner world for YOU.

But it's not just some fantasy that your conscious mind creates.... Read Full Review

In this interview, Laura Moberg tells us about her experiences with the Project Sanctuary Masters course, and her plans for the future.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I hope to be not so much a seeker as a discoverer. This keeps me exploring various cultures and delving into a broad spectrum of therapy and healing modalities. Prompted me to have four kids which definitely leads to serious discovery and challenge as well!

I am passionately interested in nature and philosophy, the whole man between heaven and earth thing….perhaps trying to unravel the great mysteries, but above all wanting to live with true delight whilst hopefully being of service.

My current burning question is: After all the assorted cleansings and healings, finally realizing we ARE ALREADY WHOLE, what then?

How did you come across Project Sanctuary?

When studying EFT many years ago, I discovered Dr. Hartmann as the definitive authority and author in the field and started devouring... Read Full Review

It is not just a book but rather it's a map of your own inner manifesting realm; a guide for your unique garden, buildings, architecture; and a language and travel guide all rolled into one.

[One] of my favorites is Project Sanctuary. I suggest you get the package with the book and the Far Journeys audios. Now, it is not just a book but rather it's a map of your own inner manifesting realm; a guide for your unique garden, buildings, architecture; and a language and travel guide all rolled into one.

Project Sanctuary shows us how we create and recreate our blueprint for problem solving, healing and manifestation and how to get information about our inner archives so we can sort out and decide what to keep, what to clean, where to build on or what to delete. It is not only easy but pure fun and joy. When I started my Sanctuary creation, I felt a light laughter rising up from my depths - a heavenly joy of sudden awareness. I realized how amazingly easy it actually is to manifest reality. And, in fact, I realized there is no secret at all. It is always directly in front of us...yet too close, too familiar to...   I ADORE Project Sanctuary!!!

YOU GUYS ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!

THANK You all! You are so helpful.

I'd ask Silvia to marry me but she's probably already taken and I'm a gay man. But that doesn't matter: her Project Sanctuary stuff is startlingly miraculous.

I have a friend in USA who is moving to Rome and I am twisting her arm to come to the Project Sanctuary Instructors Training. I don't know if I'll succeed but it won't be for lack of trying.

I ADORE Project Sanctuary!!!

I have her EFT stuff, it's a little prosaic but then I've worked on stage with Gary Craig and his stuff is a tad dull too. I have the first of her EMO Energy-in-Motion energy books but let me tell you trying to read them on a Treo Telephone Adobe Format is a true trial.

THAT'S why this time I am ordering REAL books and I'd get the Story Teller in real book format if I could. Silvia's stuff is too good to... Read Full Review

I have changed in ways I would never had thought possible in such a short period of time.

I bought Project Sanctuary about a year ago and when I look back, it seems as if 10 years have gone by. Why? Simply because since reading it, I have changed in ways I would never had thought possible in such a short period of time.

If you think Project Sanctuary is one more tree in the jungle of all self-help books, you will be surprised. Project Sanctuary is a manual that will help you to connect with what Silvia Hartmann calls the Energy Mind - or your subconscious mind. Forget guided imagery, where someone tells you to imagine lying on a sandy beach or sitting cross-legged on a mountain peak. Who's to tell you what you prefer, anyway? In your Sanctuary, you are the one in charge of your own scenario. And from there, you go on fascinating adventures of self-discovery that lead you from surprise to surprise and above all, to an ever deepening realisation of who you are.

"Well, what's... Read Full Review

Project Sanctuary is simply incredible and a joy to use

Hi Silvia,

Have a very happy birthday...

We have never met, but I would like to say a big thank you for all your hard work in writing books and courses that has added to energy therapy knowledge, I love your insightful books on EFT, EMO Energy-in-Motion and the unique project sanctuary book which is simply incredible and a joy to use.

At the moment I am doing your GoE practitioners course via distance learning with a view to finally becoming a fully paid up member. I've been an EFT adv practitioner for three years now and have been really amazed by the results, so I thought it's about time I got around to joining.

Very best wishes...

I adore PS. I'm an INFP. It is such a fabulous way to get answers, and new solutions. I notice the most positive change both within the sanctuary and in the outer world, in relationships. Fabulous. I happen to be blind in the physical world and have sky lights, and of course, lots of sunlight, moonlight, starlight...

Actually the physical world has never seemed dark to me, but the PS sky lights are wonderful!

Thank you for your fabulous work!

The details of how others have used their sanctuaries, very inspiring. Thank you so much for a brilliant and inspiring "experience" that is more than just a book!

I have no idea if you expect your book to work the way it worked for me so I will write it down here, and you can either skip through it nodding sagely or read the detail.

So I read your book and followed the instructions as I went (except the bit about saying "sanctuary" out loud). I spent a few minutes creating a little sanctuary then continued to read. By the way I always read as much as possible before I fall asleep (I have a full time job and a 10mth old son so this is not a big window!). Anyway as I continued to read I discovered that I was experiencing a very strange sensation, it felt like falling asleep my eyes would close but I was not actually asleep.

It was like being hypnotized and slipping straight into a scene in which you are very busy doing things, for example arranging house, garden etc. I would then "wake up" again and read a little further then slip into the other scene do... Read Full Review

On a private note and what you wrote about Romantic Love:

"Frankly, I don't give a damn about either enlightenment or scientific respectability. I've been there, know what it's like first hand, and when someone sits on my couch suffering from the side effects of this kind of major head-, heart-, mind-, and soul trip, I know that they're not deluding themselves - this is as real as it can get. I have two complete manuals written by Silvia: Adventures in EFT and Project Sanctuary. I bought them about 3 years ago.
What I love most about them is that I can read them again and again. Every new read leads to something else resonating.

There are other manual type books that I have read once or maybe even twice, but the two by Silvia I have read many times. I do not grow tired of them. There are these little stories in them of other people's experiences and they have such a powerful effect on me. I may find them fascinating in their own right or I may find elements in them that I want to try or that make me think of something I could do in my sanctuary or tap for.

The power of Silvia's writing, in my opinion, is that it activates your own ideas.

Silvia has translated the presuppositions and change patterns of NLP into clear, meaningful language, primarily through her wonderful use of language and metaphors.

I read this book while wearing two hats: that of a piritually-oriented lay person, and that of a hypnotherapist and NLP Master Practitioner. Silvia Hartmann has done a masterful job of weaving together concepts and processes that satisfied both of these parts of me. Through the use of metaphors, parts integration, submodality shifts, and hypnotic language patterns, Dr. Hartmann has used a light-hearted approach in blending together some very important healing concepts and tools.
One commonly heard complaint about mainstream Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) texts is the often confusing and truncated language of the field.   In my opinion, this is "must read" for any psychologist and personal development practitioner.

The more I read Silvia Hartmann's incredible book "Project Sanctuary", the more possibilities I see.

This work exhibits not only an incredibly deep knowledge and appreciation of the nature and power of metaphor, but also amazing creativity.

As far as I can see, working with metaphor in the way she suggest is ten times more powerful than standard metaphorical applications because it makes the unconscious itself into the creator or builder.

It's also more fun and a whole lot more gentle and respectful.

In my opinion, this is "must read" for any psychologist and personal development practitioner.

This is not an experience I have had before with any book to this degree; I can only conclude that your use of the processes of languaging is nothing short of masterful.

I must confess to having heaved a heavy sigh prior to opening the document. As a neurolinguist, I find much of the New Age writings lacking in content and structure.

From the start, your use of language amazed me. I was determined to track the structures, state chains, post hypnotic suggestions and loops, but in spite of my best efforts, I kept being "sucked in" by the content and found myself drifting off right into wherever you wanted me to be at the time.

This is not an experience I have had before with any book to this degree; I can only conclude that your use of the processes of languaging is nothing short of masterful.

As to the process itself, it is very interesting and rests on some very intriguing pre-suppositions.

Although I don't agree with all of them, it makes for a mind expanding
experience. I have tried the process for myself, and I can... Read Full Review

Project Sanctuary is a real tool, for real work, for real movement and change.

Dear Silvia,

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your Project Sanctuary.

I found your style very personal and warm which would engage the reader in the process with some sense of human connection and support. This would allow entrance into the process to be less fearful. The constant implication and statement of safety and personal power are important aspects, in my opinion, which encourage the use of this tool
for personal growth.

The use of many and various case examples would give each reader multiple chances to meet aspects of self which could benefit from using the Global Metaphor Therapy as a personal tool, not just another mental construct with which to play intellectual; a real tool, for real work, for real movement and change.

Walk in Peace,

This is a must reading for all those who are serious in making change in their life. I, for one, am definitely going to incorporate these principles in my own life and my professional work.

First let me say that it was a pleasure to read "Project Sanctuary"... very complete in covering the subject matter.

I found the book to be easy reading and written in a very practical tone. I can quite easily relate (both from having personally being there as well as professionally in dealing with clients and co-workers in the field) to how people tend to mess themselves us and are forever looking for problems or believing that their problems can never be solved.

I believe that the book reflects the desire and fulfills the need of
contemporary people who are sick and tired of being sick and tired trying to solve their apparently "unsolvable" problems - or as you say, those who are "running after their problems" all the time. The law of energy is that whatever you put your attention, your energy will follow into it - thus more problems.

You get what you "pray"... Read Full Review

An ingenious system - not like the usual read at all. It was more like listening to someone sharing exciting discoveries. Delightfully evocative!

My reaction to the book is very positive. As I read it I had the uncanny sense that you were present as I read and that you were TALKING to ME personally.

It didn't seem like the usual read at all, it was more like listening to someone sharing with me some exciting discoveries. Someone with a sense of humor who is able to empathically anticipate reader's reactions and can respond to these reactions reassuringly.

Still the approach you have developed, while it is stunning in its creative depth and comprehensiveness, may not be the most suitable for all clients "...no matter what the problem...no matter what the circumstances..."   Thank you so much for a brilliant book, just this one experience has made it more than worth buying it...

I have started reading your material and am absolutely intrigued. The
"sanctuary" was quite an enlightenment and I found my mother as one of my guides which was a lovely thing. For some reason I have not experienced her presence like I did when my father passed over.) While I have heard and used the "safe place" technique before, I believe this is far more respectful, hopeful and helpful and comprehensive.

Thank you so much for a brilliant book, just this one experience has made it more than worth buying it,

Thanks again

I've worked with metaphor a lot, but have never had so much fun with it as I can now see the potential for.

I've received Project Sanctuary this morning and I've probably read about 1/5.

I am enjoying it immensely. Actually finding it hard to put down. Your style is just great -- quirky, biting, good information packed in an interesting way.

I've worked with metaphor a lot, but have never had so much fun with it as I can now see the potential for. Also, I'd been introduced to sanctuary work and thought it was boring. Boy did I have the wrong teacher all those years ago.

Wish I'd known you then! I actually feel excited about really getting into this now that I begin to see the potential.

best regards,

Peter Carling

It should definitely come with a warning that Project Sanctuary can produce intense responses and profound change.

I have just finished your book and I could not wait to tell you how truly magical it was, I have done more inner work with your book in the last few weeks than I have done in the last 6mths. It should definitely come with a warning that it can produce intense responses and profound change.

Anyway you have produce something really wonderful (this statement I feel is a massive understatement so multiply it by 10000 and you will get close to how I feel).

Thank you so very much for sharing it.

Thank-you very much :-) for sending Project Sanctuary so quickly.

Dear Silvia Hartmann,

Thank-you very much :-) for sending Project Sanctuary so quickly.

I've started to read and I can only say that it's so nice to see I'm not alone in all my opinions and I like the theory upon which the book seems to be written. It deals with the point of now, the point of reality. AND - bonus point for me- it's not dealing with words but images that are easy. I love the way you point out the obvious which - after having seen a counselor I would never choose to see again...-obviously isn't all that obvious to some, the brain is the most multi-faceted, 'flexible' wizard of all time when it comes to working in images and suggestible. Well at least mine is. I think for me in any case, a lot of my problem is that it is too easy for me to create images but I'm also very suggestible and having been surrounded often enough by things I would class as negative, my images seem to be fear bound. I have... Read Full Review

... I love your metaphors, your use of examples and stories, and your common-sense-let's-make-it-fun-and-easy approach.

... I love your metaphors, your use of examples and stories, and your
common-sense-let's-make-it-fun-and-easy approach. I tried some of the process
and liked it, felt I learned something that I didn't know about me, and
something that was important for me to know about me.
I especially liked how you were there with me in the process. I can imagine
people having "sanctuary parties" where they get together for several hours and
create, support, and share.

I appreciate the effort that went into this creation, and I would feel delighted
sharing this with others, either in part, or in its entirety.

Love, Rivkah Cohen

I found your book to be an excellent source of information that will help many people come to a new understanding of how things work.

Dear Silvia:

Thank you for the honor of allowing me to read your wonderful book.
I found your book to be an excellent source of information that will help many people come to a new understanding of how things work. I find that it is explained in a way that will be thought provoking to those who would not normally think that therapy works.

I find your book to be a wonderful tool. You explain things well so that the layperson can easily understand. You are doing a terrific job.

Thank you for allowing me to participate in your work of love.

Project Sanctuary - A book that really moooovved me to some places I didn't
know I needed to go
When I was sent this book to review, I had no idea how powerful it was. As
I read it I found myself lucid dreaming and in the process discovered things
about myself that delighted and astounded me.
This book was written to provide a tool for individuals and therapists to
address issues, in a lasting, coherent, holistic way within a framework that is
uniquely tailored to the individual.
This is what I gathered from reading the introduction anyway. I was expecting
to read a series of narratives that would provide, visualizations for dealing
with my issues in a very personal way.
So imagine my surprise when I discovered, it’s not just a book - it is an
experience.
One of the first things Silvia invites her readers to do is create an image

If there was only one single book after a lifetime of books I could take away with me to a lonely island, this would be it. Why? Because Project Sanctuary writes every story you would ever want!

Silvia Hartmann
Creator, Project Sanctuary

Dear Reader,
Well, you might know me as the cheerful author
of Adventures In EFT. You might have read some of my articles, may have tried
out some of my patterns. You might have heard things about me, and that's
alright.

I have done many things over my life time;
some of them I am proud of and others I'm not so proud of. I am quite old now -
43 - and I have worked very hard to make sense of the Universe during all those
many, many years.

As I look back over my life, certain things
stand out; certain achievements, as they do. Guiding star moments involving
people, and sometimes animals, landscapes, nature. I've worked out some really
cool things because I'm a bit of an explorer and a researcher too but there is
one thing which simply eclipses everything else because it is the wellspring
from which... Read Full Review

Evelyn Morrisson, Cornwall,

I have been fascinated by stories and imagination ever since I was a little girl, and every page in your book was like a homecoming to me.

Dear Mrs Hartmann,
I just had to write to you and tell you how
much I love and enjoy your wonderful Project Sanctuary. I am 82 years of age and
still see a few clients (I am a Jungian Analyst by training). I have been
fascinated by stories and imagination ever since I was a little girl, and every
page in your book was like a homecoming to me.

I am a little sad that I had to wait this long to
finally see expressed what I have felt in my heart for these many years but I am
still overjoyed to have "met" such a kindred spirit.

Thank you again,
Yours sincerely, Evelyn Morrisson, Cornwall,
